Arms wrapped, we melt behind the shades.
Dilated pupils, a sorry that lasts for days.
I won’t ask for this. I won’t wonder why she hides within these eyes
and forgets to sleep.
It’s hard to dream when the night sky resides against me.
A slow moon. A fast rain.
I’ll open the window and ponder you fate.
Just enough for the breeze to catch your hair,
and the subtle scent of the night to stay.
